Getting started

Rally is a product-led Shopify theme for brands that sell one hero product, or a few, and drive most of their traffic from ads. The home page and the product page work as one funnel: hero, proof, how it works, results, comparison and the offer card. It is built on Online Store 2.0 features: JSON templates, sections, blocks and section groups, so you can rearrange every page in the theme editor without touching code.

Rally needs no apps for its core features. The offer card, gift tiers, urgency signals, UGC wall, comparison table and cart drawer all run inside the theme. Subscriptions need a selling plan app, such as Shopify Subscriptions.

Rally is sold directly by Weblorium, not on the Shopify Theme Store. One licence covers one store. If you don't have Rally yet, request it on the theme page.

Install Rally

After your purchase we email you a download link for each preset: Rally-1.0.0-rally.zip, Rally-1.0.0-verity.zip and Rally-1.0.0-kinetic.zip. Each ZIP is the full theme with that preset applied, so pick the one closest to your brand.

  1. Download the ZIP file for the preset you want. Don't unzip it.
  2. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  3. Click Add theme > Upload zip file, choose the ZIP and click Upload. The theme appears in your theme library.
  4. Click Customize to open the theme editor and set up your store.
  5. When you're ready, click Publish on the theme in your theme library.

Duplicate before you edit code

Theme editor basics

  • Use the page selector at the top of the editor to switch between the home page, product templates, collections, pages and the cart.
  • Theme settings (the paintbrush icon) hold the colors, typography, buttons, cards, cart and animation settings for the whole store.
  • Every section has a color scheme, an anchor for jump links, Show on (phones, computers or both), and spacing. Most have the shared Section layout settings: full width, rounded panel, background image and tint.
  • Product blocks live inside the Product information section. Click Add block to see them all, grouped by what they do.

Setup checklist

  1. Upload your logo in Theme settings > Logo, and check the header's call-to-action button.
  2. Set up your product's packs as variants with compare-at prices. See Packs as variants.
  3. Set up the offer card: pack layout, pack details, Most popular pack and trust lines. See The offer card.
  4. If you sell subscriptions, install a selling plan app and create a plan. See Subscriptions.
  5. Add gift tiers and the automatic discounts that make them free. See Gift tiers.
  6. Fill the proof sections with real reviews and customer photos, and give every stat its source.
  7. Set the free shipping and gift thresholds in Theme settings > Cart to match your real rates.
  8. Decide which urgency signals your store shows. See Urgency and honest use.
  9. Translate or edit the built-in text in Edit default theme content.

Choose a preset

Rally comes in three presets. Each sets the colors, fonts, corners, button shapes, decorations and section layouts. Every ZIP contains all three presets in Theme settings, so you can switch later without reinstalling, but the templates and demo layout follow the preset of the ZIP you uploaded.

  • Rally (wellness)

Cream, deep green and amber. Instrument Serif headings, Figtree text, pill buttons, soft sage blobs behind pictures and thin serif numerals. Calm and clinical. The demo is Stillwater, a magnesium sleep powder.

  • Verity (beauty)

Near-black and bone with a champagne and rose accent. Huge uppercase Schibsted Grotesk headings, Inter text, glossy panels and hairlines. The demo is Aurelle, an LED mask with three serums and a starter set.

  • Kinetic (electronics and fitness)

White and ink with electric orange buttons and a lime highlight. Outfit headings, DM Sans text, square corners, hard shadows and diagonal slashes. The demo is Orbit, a massage gun with attachments as upsells.

Design style and decorations

Theme settings > Design > Design style is set by the preset. It changes the shape language of every section: heading style, buttons and their arrow chip, cards, badges and section headers. Show decorations turns the signature touches of each style on or off: the sage blobs in Rally, the glossy highlights in Verity, the slashes and hard shadows in Kinetic.

The offer card

The offer card is Rally's buy box. It shows the packs, the subscription choice, the gifts, the buttons and the trust lines, and it keeps the price in Add to cart in step with the shopper's choice. The same card appears in three places: the Offer block in the Product information section, the Offer section (Panel layout at the bottom of a page, Hero layout on landing pages) and the sticky offer bar. Every copy of the card follows the same variant.

Packs as variants

Packs are ordinary Shopify variants. Rally reads their prices, compare-at prices and stock, so every saving on the page is real.

  1. In your product, add an option such as Supply or Size with one value per pack, for example 1 pouch, 2-pack and 3-pack.
  2. Give each pack its price and a compare-at price. The saving is the difference, shown as a percent or an amount.
  3. If the product has a second option, such as Flavour, add it too. The offer card shows it as buttons above the packs.
  4. Optional: add a variant image for each pack. It appears on the pack card.

Offer card settings

  • Pack picker
    • Pack layout — Cards (side by side) or Rows (one per line, like a supply list).
    • Add to cart button on every pack — a button on each pack that picks it and adds it in one tap.
    • Pack option — the option shown as packs, for example Supply. Empty uses the first option.
    • Tabs — None, First option as tabs, or Split the values onto two tabs (Tab names and Values on the second tab), for example Single | Multi-pack.
    • Pack details — one line per pack value: Value | Sub-label | Chip | Units | Savings text. For example: 2-pack | Buy 2 · 2 months | Free shipping | 2 | You save $8. Units drive the per-unit price; the savings text replaces the computed saving.
    • Most popular pack — the pack value that gets the Most popular badge, exactly as it is named.
    • Savings style — Percent, Amount or None.
    • Show the price per unit — “$35.00 each”, from the Units in Pack details.
    • Offer label — a line above the packs. Empty hides it.
  • Buttons
    • Button label — empty shows Add to cart.
    • Show the price in the button — the live price of the chosen pack and plan.
    • Show dynamic checkout buttons — Buy now and the shopper's preferred wallet, such as Shop Pay or Apple Pay.
    • Show add-ons — one-tap add-on rows under the buttons, never preselected.
  • Stock and dispatch
    • Low stock threshold — shows Only N left from Shopify's inventory when the chosen pack is at or below the number. 0 turns it off.
    • Dispatch cut-off — HH:MM with the warehouse UTC offset, for example 14:00 +01:00. Shows “Order within … for dispatch today”. Empty hides the line.
    • Dispatch days — Monday to Friday, Monday to Saturday, or Every day.
  • Trust
    • Trust line — short phrases under the packs, one per line. Start a line with an icon name and a bar for an icon, for example truck | Free shipping over $60.
    • Guarantee line — one line under the buttons.
    • Show payment icons — the payment methods your store accepts.

Sticky offer bar and header offer bar

The product and landing templates include an Offer section with the Sticky bar layout. It slides in once the buy box leaves the screen and shows the chosen pack, the price and a button; Change jumps back to the card. Choose Sticky bar (phones) or Sticky bar (all screens).

On one-product stores the header's call-to-action button (for example Choose a pack) links to the offer section's anchor, so every page leads to the offer.

Subscriptions

Rally shows subscriptions from Shopify selling plans. Install a selling plan app, such as the free Shopify Subscriptions (opens in a new tab) app, create a plan (for example every 4, 8 or 12 weeks with 15% off) and add your product to it. The offer card then shows the subscription choice by itself.

  • Subscription settings in the offer card
    • Subscription style — Checkbox card (one card with a checkbox and a frequency select) or Two tiles (Buy once and Subscribe side by side).
    • Subscription label — the name of the choice. If you don't add a percentage, the real saving is appended.
    • Subscription note — a line under the label, for example Skip, pause or cancel any time.
    • Select subscription by default — opens the page on the first plan unless the link picks one.
    • Subscription benefits — one benefit per line, shown as a checklist. Only list what your subscription really includes.

Gift tiers

Gifts are real products you give away with a pack: an ebook, a travel case, a sleep mask. Add up to four Gift blocks to the Product information section (or to an Offer section). Each shows as a tile under the packs, locked until the shopper picks a qualifying pack, then outlined with a check.

When the shopper adds to cart, Rally adds the unlocked gifts in the same request as free gift lines: a Free gift badge, no quantity stepper, and Free in place of the price once the line costs nothing. If the main item is removed, its gifts are removed too.

  • Gift block
    • Product — the gift product.
    • Unlocks at — A pack value (for example 2-pack), A number of units (for example 3) or A cart subtotal (for example 80).
    • Value — the pack value, the number of units or the amount, matching the rule.
    • Label — for example Exclusive gift.
    • Title — replaces the product title on the tile, for example Free ebook: 5 steps to a calmer evening.
    • Note — a short line under the title.

Make the gift free with an automatic discount

Rally never fakes a price. Make the gift free in one of two ways:

  • Price the gift product at 0. Simple, but anyone can then add it alone if it is visible in your store.
  • Keep its price and create an automatic discount in Discounts: Buy X get Y, where X is your main product (or the qualifying pack, quantity or amount) and Y is the gift at 100% off. The discount applies in the cart and at checkout, and the line shows Free.

Urgency and honest use

Rally separates signals that come from real data from numbers you type. Real-data signals are the defaults: tracked stock (Only N left, the stock bar), a countdown to a real end date and the dispatch cut-off. The typed modes are toggles that start off, and the theme editor labels each one as merchant-entered.

  • Urgency section and Urgency blockA thin strip of signals, or one signal inside the product information. Nothing shows until you add a block.
    • Countdown — Source: A date (the same deadline for every visitor; End date, End time and Time zone) or Timer (merchant-entered: N minutes from the visitor's arrival, restarting on every visit or once per browser).
    • Stock bar — Source: Shopify inventory (Low stock threshold and Full bar at) or Typed numbers (merchant-entered).
    • Viewing line and Sold line — merchant-entered numbers between a lowest and highest value, with an optional drift.
  • Cart timerTheme settings > Cart > Show a cart timer. A countdown that says the cart is reserved. Nothing is actually reserved, and nothing is removed when it ends.

Product page

The product page has two columns: the gallery column (with an optional customer quote over the picture) and the buy column with your blocks. Rally has 85 product blocks in four groups.

  • Buying: Offer, Gift, Variant picker, Buy buttons, Quantity, Purchase options, Add-ons and upsells, Custom field (a line-item property: text, select or checkbox, optionally required), Size chart.
  • Proof: Rating, Review card, Social proof (avatars and a count from your review metafields), UGC strip, Benefit chips, Icons with text.
  • Information: Description, Collapsible tabs, Pop-up page, Specs table, SKU, Inventory, Image, Slider, Divider, Container, Button, Jump link.
  • Delivery and urgency: Dispatch window, Shipping checkpoints (Ordered, Dispatched, Delivered with estimated dates), Countdown, Urgency.

Product templates

Rally includes four product templates. Assign one in the product's Theme template field.

  • Default (funnel)

Product information, guarantee, Is this for you?, FAQ, a disclaimer and the sticky offer bar.

  • Story

The long funnel: product information, story, how it works, timeline, callouts, results, UGC, Is this for you?, guarantee, FAQ and the offer bar.

  • Compact

Product information with related and recently viewed products, for add-ons and accessories.

  • Bundle

Product information, a pricing table, bundle recommendations, guarantee, FAQ and the offer bar.

Proof and why it works

  • Rating summary — from the reviews.rating and reviews.rating_count metafields that review apps fill in, with a slot for a review app block. A manual mode exists and is labelled merchant-entered.
  • Testimonials, review cards, UGC wall (masonry, grid, strip or stories, from photos and videos you upload, with a Shop chip) and press quotes.
  • How it works, callouts (numbered pins on a product photo), ingredients, results (every stat needs a source) and a week-by-week timeline with a Based on footnote.
  • Comparison table (your product against the alternatives), guarantee, shipping and returns, Is this for you?, and FAQ with FAQPage structured data (Add FAQ structured data, on by default).

Landing pages

Landing pages send ad traffic straight to the offer. Create a page in Online Store > Pages and choose its template:

  • page.landing

A slim layout (logo and cart, no footer menus) with an offer-first hero, proof, ingredients, how it works, timeline, comparison, FAQ, the offer panel and the sticky bar.

  • page.advertorial

An article-style page that leads to the product.

  • page.listicle

Numbered reasons with pictures and a call to action.

  • page.comparison and page.founder

A comparison page and a founder letter.

  • page.subscription-policy

Explains billing, skipping, pausing and cancelling, with a Manage subscription link to your app's customer portal.

  • page.track-order

A form that opens your carrier's tracking page. Add carriers as Name | tracking URL, with [number] in the URL.

Cart drawer

Theme settings > Cart controls the cart drawer and the cart page.

  • Cart settings
    • Cart type — Drawer or Page.
    • Show order notes and Show gift wrap option.
    • Show savings on each item and Show total savings above the subtotal — from compare-at prices and discounts. Real numbers only.
    • Show a discount code field — off by default; codes are also accepted at checkout.
    • Show free shipping progress and Free shipping threshold — match the threshold to your free shipping rate.
    • Gift threshold and Gift text — a second step on the progress bar. Set up an automatic discount that adds the gift at that amount.
    • Show product recommendations, Suggest (complementary or related), Suggestions to show and Upsell style (buttons or toggles; we recommend leaving toggles unticked).
    • Require agreeing to the policies before checkout and Policies text — a checkbox above the checkout button.
    • Show a cart timer — merchant-entered; see Urgency and honest use.

Translations

Rally is translated into English, German, Spanish, French and Italian, for both the storefront text and the theme editor. To change built-in text, go to Online Store > Themes > … > Edit default theme content. To sell in more languages, add them in Settings > Languages and translate your content with the Translate & Adapt app.

FAQ

What does one licence cover?

One licence lets you use Rally on one Shopify store, with every preset, and includes updates by email and support. For a second store, request a second licence.

How do I get updates?

We email every buyer when a new version is ready, with a download link and the changelog. Upload the new ZIP as a new theme, then copy your settings across: in the theme editor, your sections and settings live in the theme, so recreate them or ask us for help moving them. Changes made in the theme code don't carry over.

Why isn't the gift free in the cart?

Rally adds the gift line but never changes its price. Price the gift product at 0, or create an automatic discount (Buy X get Y) that makes it free. See Gift tiers.

Why doesn't the subscription option appear?

The option appears only when the product belongs to a selling plan. Install a subscriptions app, create a plan and add the product to it. See Subscriptions.

Why is a pack's saving missing?

Savings come from the compare-at price. Give the pack variant a compare-at price higher than its price, or type a Savings text in Pack details.

How do I show star ratings?

Install a review app that fills in Shopify's product rating metafields. Most do. The rating summary, the Rating block and the product cards then read them.

Should I turn on the evergreen countdown or the viewing line?

Only if what they say is true. The real-data modes (tracked stock, a dated countdown, the dispatch cut-off) create urgency without misleading anyone. See Urgency and honest use.

Can you customize Rally for me?

Support covers questions about the theme and bugs in its original code, not custom design or code changes. For custom work, we recommend that you hire a Shopify Partner (opens in a new tab), or ask us for a quote.
