Case Study

MERAKI

A bilingual fashion storefront where every product decides how it is sold — delivery, branch pickup, pre-order or sold out

  1. Help shoppers reach the right product through collections, categories and curated campaign entry points
  2. Keep the buying decision clear with colour and size variants, size guide and visible stock status
  3. Support real retail operations with courier delivery and pickup from named branches in the same checkout

Overview

What it had to solve

A fashion brand selling shoes, bags, clothing and accessories needs more than a product grid. Colours and sizes have to be selectable without confusion, stock reality has to be visible before checkout, and the same product must be sellable as in-stock, pre-order or sold out. MERAKI runs on a custom storefront that handles all of it in Georgian and English, with branch pickup as a first-class fulfilment option next to courier delivery.

Modules

What was built

Bilingual Catalog Built for Browsing

The storefront is organised so visitors reach a product from several directions, in Georgian or English.

  • Georgian and English versions of the whole storefront with a language switch and localized routes
  • Category and collection browsing across shoes, clothing, bags and accessories, plus curated campaign collections
  • Homepage entry points for new arrivals, seasonal collections and shoe subcategories such as sneakers, heels, loafers and boots

Product Pages That Answer Before the Cart

Each product page resolves the questions that usually cause hesitation in fashion e-commerce.

  • Colour variants linked across products so a shopper can switch shade without losing the page
  • Size selection with a size guide, and one-size handling for bags and accessories
  • Explicit stock state — in stock, pre-order or sold out — shown before the add-to-cart action

Delivery or Branch Pickup, Chosen by the Customer

Fulfilment is part of the product decision, not a surprise at the end of checkout.

  • Courier delivery and in-store pickup offered on the product page itself
  • Pickup targets named physical branches so store staff know where the order lands
  • Cart and checkout carry the chosen fulfilment method through to the order

Editorial and Community Layer

The brand story runs inside the same system as the shop, not on a separate blog.

  • Press and blog section for brand features and campaign stories
  • Campaign collections with their own landing entry points on the homepage
  • Instagram community section inviting customers to be featured on the brand feed

Production-Grade Storefront Foundations

The site is built as a fast, indexable commerce application rather than a page builder export.

  • Custom Next.js storefront with server-rendered product and collection pages
  • Localized metadata, social preview images and structured breadcrumbs for search visibility
  • Media-heavy pages optimised so large product photography does not slow the catalog down
