Weblorium Page Builder privacy policy

How Weblorium Page Builder handles store data: what it collects, why, who processes it and how long it's kept.

Who we are

Weblorium Page Builder ("the app") is published by Weblorium ("we"). It reads a Shopify store's theme to build a Design Board, and builds new page templates in that theme from the layout of a page the merchant links to. To reach us about privacy, use the support page.

Customer data

The app doesn't request access to your customers, orders or checkouts, and it doesn't collect, store or process any information about your customers or storefront visitors. The pages it builds contain no tracking and no app scripts other than an optional countdown timer that runs in the shopper's browser and sends nothing anywhere.

What the app collects from your store

  • Store details: your store's myshopify domain, name and when the app was installed, and the access token Shopify issues to the app, which is stored encrypted.
  • Theme data: the list of your themes and, for the themes you open in the app, their settings and section files. From these the app builds a Design Board: colours, fonts, button and layout settings, and your theme's logo reference. Your edits to the board are stored with it.
  • Products: if you give the app access to products, it reads product titles and images only to place them in pages you build. It doesn't copy your product data anywhere else.
  • Pages you build: the address of each page you import, the layout measured from it (sizes, positions, colours and font names, never its text or images), the theme files generated for you, and their status.
  • Plan and billing: your plan, the status and identifiers of charges approved through Shopify, page packs, and how many pages you've built. Payment details are handled by Shopify; the app never sees them.

Pages you import from other sites

When you paste a link, the app opens that public page and measures its layout and visual style. It doesn't keep the page's text or images. To make sure written copy never repeats the source, it keeps one-way fingerprints of short word sequences from the page; the words themselves can't be read back from them. You're responsible for only importing pages whose layout you're allowed to reuse.

AI processing

To check a measured layout and write starter text for your store, the app sends the layout's structure (shapes, sizes and element types), your Design Board and your store's name to Anthropic's Claude API. The source page's text is never sent. Anthropic processes this data to return a response and, under its commercial terms, doesn't use it to train its models by default.

Who processes data for us

We don't sell data or share it with anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising.

  • Shopify, the platform the app runs on and bills through.
  • Render, which hosts the app and its database in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Anthropic, for the AI processing described above.
  • Cloudflare, which stores page screenshots if screenshot reading is switched on for an import.

How long data is kept

  • While the app is installed, the data above is kept so the app keeps working.
  • When you uninstall the app, its access token is deleted straight away.
  • Shopify then asks the app to erase your store's data (the shop/redact request, sent about 48 hours after uninstalling), and everything the app stored about your store is deleted: Design Boards, imports, generated files and billing records.
  • Pages the app added to your theme are part of your theme and stay there until you remove them. See removing the app's files.

Your rights

You can ask what the app holds about your store, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted at any time through the support page. Uninstalling the app also deletes everything, as described above. If you're in the EU, the UK or another region with data protection law, you have these rights under that law too.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS, access tokens are encrypted at rest, every request from Shopify is verified, and only the scopes the app needs are requested: reading and writing theme files (it only ever adds new files, never changes yours) and, if you allow it, reading products.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
